One of my favourite sites!

The Wirecutter is an amazing review site for tech and gadgets. Unlike Consumer Reports, they don't review and give a score to every new product, they just pick the best ones for you to look at. They also usually break down their picks into "best of" within each of low, mid, and high end budget categories. If you're looking to buy any new gadget, I suggest you research it here first. I've bought several things they've suggested on this site, and their sister site, The Sweethome. I haven't been disappointed by anything yet. And it's totally free!

Let's get this thing started

Welcome to Fanatically. This is my first post.

Some people don't have hobbies. Other people have one or two things they really like. I, on the other hand have several passions. Let's just say, if I won the lottery and retired, I'd never be bored.

For the past several years, I've found myself as an early adopter of new technologies, gadgets, toys and some cool, but maybe nerdy tricks you can do to save yourself time, or money, or just be more productive. I often share these stories with friends and family. Sometimes they're interested, but sometimes they just think I'm crazy. Sometimes they want me to share, or teach them, or send them directions. I enjoy sharing these kinds of things, so I thought to myself, "why not just start a blog or website where I can share these things with my friends and family, and anyone else that might be interested?"

So, here it is. If I had to try to define it, I guess I might call it a kind of link blog. I don't expect to be posting too much original writing or material. Most of what I'll be posting will be links to other sites I like, articles I enjoyed reading, tips and tricks I've found, with a little bit of my own commentary sprinkled in. Hopefully I can help you find some helpful and enjoyable material on the web that you wouldn't have found otherwise. Or at least make it easier for you.

Oh, and one last thing. I'm a bit of a sports junkie, too. Expect a little bit of sports mixed in with the other stuff.
